The goals of the Research and Development are designed to support the mission of the IIS University. As an administrative unit, the Research and Development has direct responsibility for helping the university achieve its goals. These goals will be accomplished through student knowledge enhancement & faculty development.

IIMET goals supported by the Research and Development are listed below :

1.Strengthen the Quality of Academic Programs o Increase the number of faculty FTEs producing research/scholarly and creative works
2.Increase applied and basic research .
3.Increase the availability of scholarship funds.
4.Increase funded research
